All is now set for the annual and glittering Idoma International Carnival billed to serenade locals and tourists with the rich cultural heritage of the Idoma people resident in Benue State, North Central Nigeria from the 22nd to 26th December.
Formerly known as Agila Carnival, the carnival has metamorphosed into the biggest street party in Northen Nigeria and always well attended by thousands of visitors across Nigeria and worldwide.
Founded by the philanthropist, Prince Edwin Ochai who desires to booast the economic potentials of his people as well as showcase thier cultural heritage to the world, Ochai enthused that "This years event shall trump all the previous editions as all arrangements has been put in place, including solid security, massive slash in hotel rates, revamping of the activities and more media exposure"
Over the years, the carnival has been solely financed by Prince Ochai, who has taken the Idoma International Carnival to enviable heights. Ochai also announced that this year's edition has the support of Airtel, Polaris Bank, Ragolis and Hero Larger Beer. As well as Media partnership from GoldmyneTV, Kraks Media and PulseNG.
The organisers shall be constantly updating the world as the event draw nearer but one thing we are certain of is, top entertainers such as Rudeboy, Ric Hassani, Terry G, Kennyblaq, Dan d Humorous shall be leading a host of other super talented entertainers to thrill the audience.
So, show up in Otukpo in your special attire, better still; in your red and black outfit letes celebrate the colours of the Idoma people. Who knows, the event ambassador, 2baba might just be a surprise act of the event.
