Domestic Violence, Not Right? : My Take.

Critique By Edeh Attah.
Not Right is a ten-minute short-film that mirrors domestic violence. Though some may consider the theme over-flogged but it is still very imperative given that the menace is still subsisting in our society.
Judith Audu, a fast rising actress cum producer is one of the women irked by the menace of domestic violence. In her debut effort at film producing, she chose to delve into this topical issue which is still raging in most families though the victims most times endure in silence, reason been that they want to preserve their marriage or are scared of how the society will look at them which I think is wrong hence they must save their lives first, from these silent killers-abusive husbands.

Title: Not Right
Writer: Judith Audu
Director: Uduak Obong Patrick
Lead Actors: Omowunmi Dada. Judith Audu, Ani Iyoho, Phillip Festus.
Studio: Judith Audu Productions (2014).

Synopsis.
Out of ‘love’ and her desire to keep her marriage, Kumbi(Omowunmi Dada) is tied down to a relationship where the beast of a husband relentlessly abuses her psychologically and physically. Funmi’s(Judith Audu) attempt to save her from the looming tragedy proves abortive as Kumbi languishes under the mercy of Kola,(Philip Festus) her husband.

Actor In The Spotlight: Jude Orhorha.

"...You have to be in a clique to get the best jobs in Nollywood..."-Jude
In Nollywood, there abound talents and stars clouded in semi-oblivion from the world as a result of certain factors that can be mitigated. Most actors have achieved a lot that they are worthy to be referred as stars and celebrated but certain factors have impeded that. Jude Orhorha is one actor that have "been there and done that" from every parameter he is worthy to be celebrated for his efforts in Nollywood though it is not so as it is supposed. He just celebrated his 7th year marriage anniversary and I caught up with this down-to-earth actor. Enjoy.

Can we meet you?
JUDE ORHORHA: My names are Jude Ufuoma Orhorha. I am an actor, voice-over artist, MC and a Presenter. I have done a lot of jobs in the industry and have traveled abroad to shoot. My first role on TV was in the NTA produced series,

Pitching Essentials For Filmmakers and Screenwriters.

When someone asks you what your screenplay is about, and you tell them, you are verbally pitching your script to them. If they ask you for a written summation – a treatment – you are submitting a written pitch.
The word “pitching” is really a misnomer as it conjures up visions of a snake-oil salesman peddling questionable wares to an unsuspecting public. But if you took pitching out of the film business, the entire industry would collapse. Every movie ever made was made as a result of pitching. And the film industry is a people business, which means that your communication skills are very important.
In the film industry, pitching is the process which you as a writer, director or producer, use in order to impart your passion for your project to others – cast, crew or financiers.

Things You Shouldn't Tell Anyone.

There are some things you shouldn’t tell anyone but yourself and God. It is true what they say: If you don’t want something to be repeated, then don’t tell anybody. Most of us throw discretion to the wind though when we’re in conversation with day-one friends or new acquaintances that we’re fond of. In a perfect world, we’d like for all of the conversation shared between “just us girls” to be kept confidential. A perfect world this is not, and you’d be surprised at just how quick your closest confidant will use the information she knows about you against you. Or just accidentally blab about it to the world. Telling your business to girlfriends despite how new or old the friendship is comes with its risks and exclusiveness is not guaranteed.

Most women think that if you can’t tell your friends your business, then they aren’t really your friends. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Anytime I had heavy information that I felt the need to express to a friend in the past, I wish I had thought about how doing so would help or hinder my situation first. Will this friend really contribute to the conversation or are they just listening for the drama of it all? Will they offer support or will they condemn me for my choices? There is a difference between privacy and secrecy, and anytime you disclose private information, well, it is no longer private. You may have been saying a little too much to your girlfriends if you are guilty of sharing the following information too freely.

1. DON’T TELL YOUR FRIENDS THAT YOU’VE CAUGHT YOUR SPOUSE CHEATING
Especially if you and your spouse plan on working it out, it’s probably best to leave all outside people out of this relationship revelation.

Short Film: "Not Right" (Trailer)

NOT RIGHT is a short film on Domestic Violence written and produced by

with her husband that is always battering her. It is a story of how a
concerned couple Tade (Ani Iyoho) and Funmi (Judith Audu) tries helping
their neighbour Kumbi (Omowunmi Dada) who is always been beaten by her
husband, Kola (Philip Festus). Will she listen to what her neighbors are
saying or remain in the marriage in trying to ‘save face’ in the society?

Entertainers Are Prostitutes to Telecoms Giants

Etcetera writes.

It all started around 2000 AD, just right after the millennium bug had been crushed. A new era had just begun. With it came the beginning of what is known today as corporate prostitution. The telcos had just landed with their base stations with billions of dollars to spend. At a time when Plantashun Boiz ruled the 36 states and the federal capital territory was left for Age Beeka and his angel Angelica. When the Remedies was Hip hop and the hustle was done with pure zeal and auto-tune and Styl-plus were still in their mothers’ wombs. Now just a little more than a decade after, in the year 2014, the telcos and their billions have taken over. The whoring has finally begun. With the telcos unashamedly fighting over entertainers’ right before our very eyes, Saka will easily take home the award for the entertainment prostitute of the year. Having slept with two

The Best Way to Rehearse For a Film.

Directors rehearses differently. There are some that prefer little rehearsal because they want the raw performance to unfold during the shoot. On the other extreme is the director who rehearses for a week plus to get the performance to the level they want it to be. Part of this decision will be based on the level of actor and budget you have.

Does Artificial Breast, Buttock or Penis Have a Better Effect on Sex?

The system we live in has gradually over the years come to associate bigness with approval, pleasure and acceptance. The society believes that the bigger the house, or mansion, the elaborate the gatherings, the larger the get-togethers, the massive the events and celebrations the better and this same spirit has crept into our sexual preferences. The sexual preferences of many have led many to seek artificial buttocks, breasts, penis and scrotum.

The need for a bigger breast, larger buttock and bigger penis has driven many couples to making artificial enhancement a do or die affair.
There is no doubt that the centre of a man’s existence is his penis and

Nigerian govt irresponsible in protecting youths – Hillary Clinton

United States’ former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, said on Wednesday night in New York that the Nigerian government had shown irresponsibility in matters relating to girls and boys over the years.
Clinton, who is a likely presidential candidate in 2016, added her voice to an increasingly widespread outrage that has followed the kidnap of over 250 schoolgirls from a government secondary school in Chibok, Borno State by Boko Haram insurgents on April 14, 2014.

She described the action of the terrorist group as “abominable, criminal, an act of terrorism” which required the “fullest response possible first and foremost from the government of Nigeria.”
“The government of Nigeria has been, in my view, somewhat derelict in its responsibility for protecting boys and girls, men and women,” she said.

TheDaily Mailreports Clinton as saying that during her tenure as that Secretary of States, she was pressured by the Justice Department, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the head of the U.S. military’s Africa Command to add Boko Haram to the state’s official list of terror organisations, a request she refused.

But in November 2013, the current Secretary of State, John Kerry, granted that request.

Boko Haram, CIA's Covert Operation to Breakup Nigeria -Wikileaks.

For years now, we have heard of the prediction by the US Central intelligence agency (CIA) about the breakup of Nigeria in 2015, though recently, they have being denying ever making such prediction.
It is obvious now that if this protracted crisis rocking our nation is not curtailed, the prediction is bound to happen.
In my quest for further knowledge I found this piece on the website of the Canadian based organization; Global Research Center about the CIA's deliberate plans to fragment Nigeria as exposed by Wikileaks.

Be A Virgin Again, For Just # 5000. Second-hand Virginity.

I understand that men these days don't really care about the virginity status of a lady before getting involved with her but being a virgin is sure a plus to any lady and I have met some ladies who actually regret loosing it.
There seems to be good news for ladies who have lost their virginity. Your "virginity" can now be restored through artificial kits-second-hand virginity. (hehehe)

Celebs And Second-hand Husband.

Why do Nigeria female celebrities prefer second-hand husband? Or why would anyone prefer second-hand husband when there are a lot of brand new men out there. Or can we like this to the case of how we often go for second-hand cars when we obviously know the advantages of the brand new cars and cannot afford it?
Come to think of it, is it that our female celebs can no longer afford the luxury of waiting for the brand new husbands to come along? Or has the brand new men refuse to be fooled by the razzmatazz or

Beauty Queen/Actor in The Spotlight: Anita Ochima.

"...You can do it without sleeping with anyone..."-Anita.
Talent and good looks is prevalent in the entertainment industry but it is rare to find artists who can boast of the right attitude and discipline required to soar in the massively competitive industry. Anita Ochima is one talented and conspicuously beautiful model/actress that oozes the attitude that most artists lack. Despite the constraints along her path, she has made an appreciable progress in her career. From emerging as the Top model in the Benue fashion week which is the biggest fashion event in the entire northern Nigeria, she has featured in several movies and she is currently the Face of Indoma carnival which is the largest carnival in the north except the Abuja carnival. After several futile attempts at having a chat with her, the beauty queen finally granted me audience despite her busy schedule and she talked on a lot of things that you would definitely want to find out. Enjoy.

Guys, wen she repeats that, that make you want to break her neck, wipe her into line by simply implementing these.......
