"...Greediness and Selfishness is Killing The Music Industry"-HEPH B.
Popularly known as Linkupbwoy; Heph B is a Houston Taxas-based award Winning Afro dancehall & reggea artist. The widely regarded Houston’s Afro Dancehall king opens up to us in this exciting interview. Enjoy the excerpts.

What drew you to the music industry?
HEPH B: I have a gift of music. I started playing the instrument at age 5 (Drums) later at age 12 I picked up the Piano and the rest is history today. So I was a musical before becoming an artist. My first album was released at age 22 then as a Rapper.

Who are you inspired by? i>
HEPH B:God first, life situations that I goes through and things that surrounds me gives me the drive and inspiration to write songs.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
HEPH B:The greediness and Selfishness.

How you interact with and respond to fans?
HEPH B:Through social media IG or Facebook Live, comments on social Platforms.

What is your favorite part about this line of work?
HEPH B:Making good music so as to try and make everyone happy and also inspiring the youths.

Describe your sound.
HEPH B:Mixture of Dancehall and Afrobeats in one.. also Reggea is a major part of my sound.

Tell us about your first experience on stage performing.
HEPH B:I started performing  in front of large crowd at age 8 and it has now become a natural thing.. Ofcourse at that young age it could be nerve recking but at the end of the day it was worth it.

Alot of celebrities tend to disrespect thier fans, How do you relate with your fans?
HEPH B: I love all my fans far and wide.. I interact with them, take pictures, sometimes give out cash prizes. The fans are the ones who give the artists the power to be famous so we have to keep showing them love.

How do you cope with female admirers?
HEPH B: Well, I love all my ladies and always showing love to them.

Describe your love life by a movie title.
HEPH B:Love and Basketball.

What’s an average day like for you?
HEPH B:I wake up, pray, get myself all ready to get on my daily endeavors, sometimes soon as I am done getting myself ready I can be in the studio all day making records and writing music.

What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?
HEPH B:Never let a NO stop you, let God be your guide and keep pushing. Keep healthy relationships with people and never be proud.

What are you currently working on?
HEPH B:My upcoming album called “AMARII” It is named after my son.
